Modern Jazz Dance Class
Modern Jazz is based on a specific and codified technique. It is a tonic and musical dance, with a specific vocabulary, enabling dancers to experience their bodies in a different way than that of Contemporary Dance or Ballet, through isolations, syncopated and disjointed rhythms. It involves the body as a whole. This class will be a mix of French and American teaching, and you will perform several exercises before you begin to learn a choreography. A great amount of attention will be paid to the body/movement, so that you can dance safely and progress serenely. You may hear anything from current jazz music to electro/pop music each week. All levels welcome. Great for beginner/intermediate students!
Cost $14 per class.
